Ed "Big Daddy" Roth Illustrator & Kustom Kar Designer

RatFinkSurfTiteEd “Big Daddy” Roth (March 4, 1932 – April 4, 2001)  In 1962 the Revell model company began selling plastic models of Roth’s cars and from 1963 to 1965 Revell also manufactured plastic models of many of Roth’s monsters. He earned one penny for each sold, earning him $32,000 in 1963. Constantly reissued, there are hundreds of versions of dozens of models based on his designs.

His style greatly influenced Topp’s Wacky Packs, beginning in 1967.
