Art of Painting (The Allegory of Painting, or Painter in his Studio) by Johannes Vermeer . WE believe it was done between 1665 and 1668 featured his daughter, and was a self-portrait of the artist. Vermeer is known as a detail-oriented artist, and his work was often credited to others through the mid-19th century. Currently at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, it was in the possession of Adolf Hitler during World War II.
