44 BC – Gaius Julius Caesar was stabbed to death in the Roman Senate house by 60 conspirators, Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus. #bewaretheidesofmarch

1545 – First meeting of the Council of Trent, the ‘Counter-Reformation’.

1806 – A chondrite meteorite carrying carbon-based, organic chemicals was identified for the first time. Found outside Alais, France, the organic chemicals it carried suggested the possibility of life on whatever body was the source, somewhere in space.

1906 – Rolls-Royce Limited was incorporated.
