Andy Warhol's Gertrude Stein

Getrude Stien, part of the ten painting set of “Jewish Geniuses” (1980).
Gertrude Stein (February 3, 1874 – July 27, 1946) was an odd choice for Andy. While well known in literary circles, she was on the fringes of Popular Culture.
The whole set included  Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud, Sarah Bernhardt, Louis Brandeis, Martin Buber, George Gershwin, Franz Kafka, the Marx Brothers, Golda Meir and Gertrude Stein.
