Margarita Day is a celebration of the iconic and beloved tequila-based cocktail. The exact origins of the margarita are unclear, but it is believed to have originated in the late 1930s or early 1940s, either in Mexico or the United States. A classic margarita typically contains three ingredients: tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. These ingredients are blended or shaken with ice and served in a salt-rimmed glass. The tequila provides the base alcohol flavor, the triple sec adds sweetness, and the lime juice gives the drink its tangy taste. Some margarita variations may also include other ingredients, such as fruit juices, syrups, or bitters, to add different flavors and styles to the drink. The proportions of the ingredients may also vary, depending on personal preference or regional variations.
