Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans

Muriel Latow gave  Andy the idea of painting the Campbell’s Soup,probably because it was a staple of Andy’s diet.
Warhol was an early adopter of the silk screen printmaking process as a technique for making paintings, which is why there often multiples of his work. Hand screening made each unique as well.
The Artists Rights Society is the U.S. copyright representative for the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts for all Warhol works with the exception of Warhol film stills.
The U.S. copyright representative for Warhol film stills is the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
